Ella studied Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After emigrating to Canada, she started working in the Animation industry as a Layout artist and Designer and eventually re-trained herself as a digital painter.
In her 18+ year Animation career, she has worked on many projects from TV commercials to feature films as both a freelancer and a full-time staff member at various studios in Toronto and Vancouver.
In 2019, she started teaching art to various age groups.
She is currently teaching at Vancouver community centres and assisting at Arts Umbrella and The Art Studios.

ELLA CULAJEVIC

Ella has worked on many Animation projects, from TV commercials to feature films, as both a freelancer and a full-time staff member
at various studios in Toronto and Vancouver.

She has Classical Art training from
the Academy of Fine Arts / University of Sarajevo,
in her native Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After emigrating to Canada, she started her career
in the Animation industry as a traditional Layout artist and Designer.
In 2005, she graduated from Vancouver Film School in 3D Animation and VFX.

When she is not working in an animation studio designing and painting backgrounds, she teaches art and makes prints on a small etching press.
